Muhammad Tahir won Osher fellowship-2007
I would like to warmly congratulate Muhammad for winning the 2007 Osher Fellowship. Tahir will use his time at the Hoover Institute-California in September and October to continue working on his book Turkmenistan-After Niyazov: Politics and Energy.
Turkmenistan sits on one of worlds largest natural gas reserves and is strategically located geographically, yet it is a country which many know little about.
Because so little is published about Turkmenistan, Tahir hopes his book will appeal to many readers interested in international relations, energy policy and the post-soviet space.
